During the first weekend in June, Hulett puts on the areas first Rodeo. Many of the local cowboys compete in bareback, saddle-bronc, bull riding and calf roping events. Then in August there is the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis. Hulett,
Wyoming has been very popular with the motorcycle crowd.

The campgrounds and motels are full for about a week during this rally. On Wednesday of this week a local bar offers a free pig roast and about 40,000 people come to town. There is also a bull riding competition at the rodeo grounds on that day.
If you enjoy hunting and fishing, we have a spring and fall turkey season. Our turkey population has grown considerably over the years and many hunters have had a successful hunt. It is not uncommon to see turkeys from the motel as they come down to the river to feed and strut. Bow hunting season starts in September and Antelope season runs through October. Then Rifle season picks up the first day of November.

There is walleye and pike fishing at nearby Keyhole State Park and trout fishing at Cook Lake. If you like stream fishing there are small mouth bass and catfish in the Belle Fourche River. Visit the Wyoming Game and Fish web site for more information.
Bicycling tours go through this area during the summer months, and the winter offers snowmobile and cross-country skiing with groomed trails in the Bear Lodge Mountains of the Black Hills National Forest.
